This sonic odyssey explores fate, longing, and triumph! Carlos Simon’s Fate Now Conquers responds to Beethoven’s iconic Seventh Symphony, weaving gospel roots with classical brilliance. Elgar’s haunting Cello Concerto, born from post-war grief, contrasts deep melancholy with flashes of resilience. Tchaikovsky’s autobiographical Fourth Symphony erupts with passion, its “fate” motif driving a journey from turmoil to euphoric triumph.
