HSYO Scholarships

Need Based Scholarships:

This scholarship covers 50% of the registration fee, and more information can be received by contacting the office (616-796-6780).

Set-up Crew:

In exchange for their work, the students on set-up crew will receive free tuition. There are a limited number available, up to 3. Priority is given to previous years crew. Interested students should inquire for more information from the HSYO Manager Set-Up Crew scholarships are only available to members of HAYO.

Music Lesson Scholarships (due October 1):

Students who have been a member of HAYO and/or HAJS for one year are eligible to receive a Lesson Scholarship to be applied towards private music lessons.  Only one lesson scholarship is available PER FAMILY. Students may apply in the fall of each year for the current year. Scholarships are awarded based on the contribution and length of service to the orchestra, need of the orchestra, desire and dedication of the student, talent, and financial need.   A recommendation is required from your private teacher or director. This must be submitted with the completed application to the HSYO office, P O Box 2685, Holland, MI 49422-2685.
