Holland Area Junior Strings – 5:00pm-6:30pm in Room 106
Holland Area Concert Strings – 7:00pm-8:30pm in Room 106
Holland Area Youth Orchestra – 6:30pm-8:30pm, Study Hall
All rehearsals are at the Midtown Center, 96 W 15th St, Holland, MI 49423
Fall Semester: Rehearsals will begin Monday, September 14th, 2026, and run the fall concert on Sunday, November 22, 2026.
Spring Semester: Rehearsals will begin Monday, January 4, 2026, and run through the spring concert on Sunday, March 7, 2027.
HAYO Practice-a-thon will take place in January, 2027.
Fall Semester Dress Rehearsal and Concert
9 am – 12 pm with varying start times for each group
1:30 pm Student call time
3 pm Concert
Spring Semester
Students will receive new music at the end of fall semester; Students who are ONLY attending the second semester (HAJS) will begin attending on Monday, January 4, 2027.

Holland Symphony Orchestra and Youth Orchestras Cancellation Policy
In general, whenever bad weather is a possibility, Holland Symphony and Youth Orchestras follow Holland Public Schools closing decisions.

We will also put a message on the Holland Symphony Orchestra phone line at 616-796-6780. Sometimes evening activities are still held as weather changes throughout the day.
If schools are closed in the morning, HPS will host updates about after school activities and evening events by 1:30pm on their website; http://www.hollandpublicschools.org (or visit by clicking here)
If HPS evening activities are being held, HSO and HSYO WILL hold rehearsals.
