Johannes Müller Stosch conducts his final concert as Music Director in a program reflecting transformation, passion, and gratitude. The program opens with Joseph Marx’s enchanting Transfigured Year, a lush song cycle blending lyrical beauty and sweeping orchestration. Tchaikovsky’s final symphony – a masterpiece of raw emotion and daring structure- goes from brooding despair to fleeting joy. The fiery climax, ending in haunting sorrow, is a poignant farewell that has captivated audiences for generations.
